Franklin, Tenn. (April 14, 2014) - CentricWorship and Centricity Publishing, LLC announce today the signing of CentricWorship's first exclusive songwriting and artist deal with worship leader and CentricWorship songwriters retreat participant, Corey Voss. Voss has garnered tremendous success with the song "Nothing But the Blood," CentricWorship's first church single off the EP, All The Saints: Live from the CentricWorship Retreat-No.1. In the three weeks since the debut of the "Nothing But The Blood" live music video, the song's combined views total more than 23,000 unique views. As part of the exclusive agreement with Centricity Publishing, Voss is working on an upcoming solo project to be released on the CentricWorship label. "Simply put, Corey's songs are pure heart," says label head, Steve Rice. "You can't listen to one of his songs and not feel like you just heard a completely honest and real expression of worship." CentricWorship unveils the "All The Saints (Holy Holy Holy)" live video today, as seen on YouTube and GodTube. Songwriters Henry Seely (Planetshakers), James Tealy (writer of Kari Jobe's Hit "We Are"), and Michael Farren (Pocket Full of Rocks) infused this time-honored hymn with a new chord arrangement and a glorious new chorus that bring a modern freshness to the reverent proclamation of God's glory. The "All The Saints (Holy Holy Holy)" live video was captured at the CentricWorship retreat in the Methow Valley, and features charismatic vocals by Michael Farren and Anthony Skinner (writer of Billboard's #1 hit "Your Love Never Fails").
It was during a moment of reflection while on this retreat that songwriter James Tealy recalled his first intersection with song and scripture. "The hymn 'Holy Holy Holy' was on page one of the Baptist hymnal in my church growing up," explains Tealy. "I remember as a kid hearing my dad read Isaiah 6 and connecting the scripture with that hymn text, which had been burned into my heart. The words of these verses still stir in me deeply when we sing it." When Michael Farren approached James Tealy and Henry Seely about breathing new life into the classic church hymn, Tealy and Seely were admittedly a bit skeptical, but Farren's impassioned persistence soon changed their minds. Together, the three songwriters set out to create a new chorus and chord structure that would reignite the passion of true worship in listeners and worship leaders. "Working with Henry and Michael to find a new window into this old song was so rewarding for me. It's a picture of where we're going, of what's next: gathered with saints and angels declaring the holiness of our King."
Breaking from routine and pressing into the Holy Spirit not only inspired the writing of "All The Saints (Holy Holy Holy)," it also served as the initial impetus for the creation of the CentricWorship label. In the summer of 2013, label head Steve Rice invited 12 of the country's top songwriters and worship leaders to join him for a week-long retreat in the foothills of the majestic Cascade Mountains. "Our retreat was filled with both tears and laughter," says Rice. "We dug into the Word of God each day and spent time in the presence of our Lord. We asked for forgiveness for our forgetfulness, and prayed He would bring to our remembrance the glorious truths of God." As the EP's title track, "All The Saints (Holy Holy Holy)" perfectly captures the essence of CentricWorship's intimate and impassioned worship retreat experience. "For me, this song is one of the highlights of this live recording," continues Rice. "My prayer is that as Churches around the world sing this new song, as well as others, we will find both saints and angels shouting the glories of God to one another!"
